To get a registration certificate, you must register and book an appointment with the police.
If necessary, you'll be able to go straight to the Tax Administration counter after your appointment with the police. You do not have to book a separate appointment with the Tax Administration.
Unfortunately, some SUA offices have long waiting times for appointments for EEA registrations. If you’re an EU/EEA citizen, you’ll still have lawful residence in Norway beyond three months if you exercise your EEA rights. This applies, for example, if you have a job in Norway. You can book an appointment with the Tax Administration to apply for a tax deduction card or to report a move to Norway even if you have not received a registration certificate yet.
